Summer Research Program

Each S-STEM recipient will serve as a Summer Research Apprentice in the summer following their participation as a Research Assistant. A group of approximately 4 students will work with a faculty member and a faculty-selected Peer Research Consultant (PRC) for a two week time period over summer. The faculty member will instruct individuals on what it takes to do research and will walk students through a small research experience related to their field of study.  Student participants will also be invited to join a team of researchers already participating in the OSR Summer Research Program for a day to observe research they have been conducting throughout the summer. In addition, apprentices will attend workshops, social events, mini conferences, and other events that have been organized by the Office of Student Research (OSR) for other summer research participants.
