The OSR wants to help in connecting the classroom with the workplace through gaining practical experience in internships on and off campus. Whenever we receive requests to link students with internships, we list them on our website.


Student Research Internship


This internship will allow students to receive hands on experience in the overall assessment of OSR’s programs, events, and services. Typically the duties will include:

 •          Provide statistical and data analysis

•           Research planning

•           Design of experiments

•           Database development

•           Survey design, administration, and analysis

•           Statistical process control

•           Statistical modeling and analysis


The student will work 10 hrs. /week with a flexible schedule.   Ideally we will have an intern for the fall, one for the winter, one for the spring and even one for the summer.   The same student is welcomed to work with us for two or three quarters or even longer.  This year, we will also provide a small stipend to the intern (probably between $200 and $400 per student per quarter) 


The students will be asked to work 10 hours per week during the quarter.


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills

  • Knowledgeable of SPSS and data analysis.

  • Must have some research experience.


Course credit only and/or paid.
